As with Prescriptor-EPS, one can apply electronic guidelines from multiple sources. It can be seen as the follow-up tool for the ongoing implementation and prescribing support of some of these medicine management approaches. The feedback of these approaches into the prescribing process doesn’t affect all guidelines so there will always be a level of national and/or regional fundament and consensus in place, overridden only in part by local preferences, e.g. for certain preferred medicines. This mixture of guidelines is shown on the front of the Prescriptor-Pyramid diagram and shows the hierarchy of guideline sources that are accessed on behalf of the end user. Read more
