Prescriptor-WIZARD: a guideline management tool
The Wizard is a web-based guideline management tool. The changes and additions in the central guideline database can be applied in real time to the Prescriptor-EPS web service. Prescriptor-EPS is geared to interact with this web service via a request from the medical record system of the physician with all necessary patient data (age, sex, disease, indication, directions etc) to provide for a customized guideline, with all eventual alerts and warnings (individualized allergies, contra-indications, interactions). In this way Prescriptor-Wizard closes the circle between medicines management and prescribing support in a very professional, time-efficient and cost-effective manner.
The Prescriptor-Pyramid is an illustration of an integral approach of how guideline- and medicines management can be fed back into prescribing process.
